We were surprised to find so many interesting things in the town of Willcox.
They grow grapes (unlikely looking area) and have a couple of wine festivals each year, so of course, we had to find the Tasting Rooms.
We are also doing our best to increase knowledge of the Native American history in this area. Plenty of museums and National monuments for exploring.
In search of RV hookups in order to cope with the COLD front.
Lucky to find a hot tub!!
😁
The Amerind Museum
A museum, art gallery, and research center dedicated to archaeology, Native cultures, and Western art
They have such a huge number of displays of extremely nice items, interesting history of tribes all over the world that it could take days to get through it all.
This baby carrier seemed so large.
Those women had to be so strong.
On to the wine tasting for the day.
Another history lesson-learning a bit about
the Apache's in this area, their leader Cochise and how he had to hide out when falsely accused of kidnapping a white boy.
The mountains in these pictures may not look rugged,
but they are!
ok- another wine tasting
with lunch - a great menu of Tapa's
