Travel the USA

After the country re-opened after Covid-19, we are
"On the Road Again."
Please enjoy the 'armchair travels' and feel free to make comments.

In September of 2019, we made the
'epic' trip to the east coast for the first birthday of our grandson Evan.
Since Evan's birthday is in September, we decided to join a 29 day RV Caravan for the New England fall color. The tour starts in Maine and ends in Niagara Falls. All told, we did about 12,000 miles with the new truck and trailer.

Missoula, Montana

Fort Missoula -
built to defend against the Indians that never attacked.

The Bicycle Corp
an experiment to see if bicycles could be better than horses to move the troops.

A surprise to learn of the large numbers kept here.

These Tipi Burners were used to burn the sawdust and other by-products from the milling process.  They stopped using them with the Clean Air Act of 1970

We hope to learn more of the Lewis and Clark story as we travel east.

We did a walking tour of "alleys and tunnels"

The basement of the bank had a bomb shelter-
look at their drinking water!

The tunnels under this building are pretty interesting
.

They say that even John Wayne was here.

The local farmers market has some interesting 'shrooms'
