A day of visiting the Historic Montana Prison, and a wonderful Auto Museum
There were three elaborate chambers to be unlocked, entered, and locked before moving to the next chamber.
Holes in the ceiling for lowering each appropriate key.
The inmates who murdered the prison guards were executed by this unusual “Jerk up scaffolding” that utilized a 300 pound weight which was supposed to break their neck.
The device failed and they died by strangulation.
The usual miserable cells (but this one has some kind of a mattress)
But this thing is pretty gross
All we could figure was a statue of a man's head on the body of a rat.
Ugh!
the Auto Museum
5 miles per flat!
The Yellowstone Trail --first cross country auto road
I-1??
and the display needs 'yellow stones'
I wonder how long it takes the mail for winter deliveries?
This might be the original 'dune buggy'
a very souped up VW bug.
1933 "Kozy Kamper"
I guess tourists always ignore the warnings
"DO NOT FEED THE BEARS"
And on to have a good lunch at "Louie's"
