Travel the USA

After the country re-opened after Covid-19, we are
"On the Road Again."
Please enjoy the 'armchair travels' and feel free to make comments.

In September of 2019, we made the
'epic' trip to the east coast for the first birthday of our grandson Evan.
Since Evan's birthday is in September, we decided to join a 29 day RV Caravan for the New England fall color. The tour starts in Maine and ends in Niagara Falls. All told, we did about 12,000 miles with the new truck and trailer.

The Shot Heard Round the World!!

The battle that started the Revolutionary War started here in Lexington, proceeded along the road to Concord, and then back to Boston.  It started with 700 British, and 70 Patriots, and ended up with 1700 British being chased back to Boston by 4000 militia.
The British were trapped in Boston for 11 months, but it wasn't until 8 years later that the peace treaty to the Revolutionary War was signed.

The monument on the Lexington Green or Lexington Commons

The men who died in the Battle of Lexington were brought from the old cemetery and re-buried here at the monument.
