The work week saw some painting, sorting, and miscellaneous maintenance chores. We both decided that shorter work days were really a blessing for our ever older bodies! Nice to have shorter (and easier) days!
Don't EVER be alone when on a ladder!
OK Then
Bring that ladder - I hate the bare spots!
"The Girls" get to sort out the storage bin of bedding items for the women that are checking in to the facility. They all get a blanket, a set of sheets, and a set of towels.
Donations abound, and the storage overflows.
"How to make room for all this?"
We are serving at the women's facility, and we tour the men's facility.
All of the services and programs and materials come from donations.
There is never a charge for anything, and the food, housing, programs, rehab, job placement and training are all provided with the emphasis on Christian values and principles. They have capacity of 400 beds for the men.
A hotel was donated - this is the 'relaxation lobby'
This section of beds available is for any one who needs a shower, meal and clean clothes for a day or two. There is never any pressure to join one of the programs.
Is this a 'homey' atmosphere for the library?
"THE END"
