Travel the USA

After the country re-opened after Covid-19, we are
"On the Road Again."
Please enjoy the 'armchair travels' and feel free to make comments.

In September of 2019, we made the
'epic' trip to the east coast for the first birthday of our grandson Evan.
Since Evan's birthday is in September, we decided to join a 29 day RV Caravan for the New England fall color. The tour starts in Maine and ends in Niagara Falls. All told, we did about 12,000 miles with the new truck and trailer.

Off the Beaten Path in Montana

 The Pioneer Scenic Drive
in Southwest Montana

Ma Barnes is a sweet lady that has a surprising amount of supplies
 in this remote valley.
We were delighted to see her support of Israel.
She closes the store on Wednesday for her weekly shopping trek
that is 50 miles away.

Free crystals, after paid parking!

There were many families with children enjoying the hunt.
(This seems like such unlikely territory for rock hunting.)

We (mostly Lou) found a few.

Pretty small!
😀

We were looking for the Coolidge Ghost Town,
but this is as far as we made it.

ALPACAS

This is our "Campground"

We belong to a group called Harvest Hosts that offers 'free' camping
and they ask for a donation that supports their business.

They come in all colors

You're not supposed to pet their head, but the neck is OK.
They don't have upper teeth, just lower ones.
They can sure spit at you though!

The store that sold the alpaca goods was in Red Lodge Montana.
Little did we know that there was a classic car show and drag race that day!

Small towns have such fun events on the weekends.
