A pretty view in this part of the Anzo Borrego Desert State Park
The Vallecito Stage Station
carried passengers and mail from San Antonio to San Diego.
Because this route required that passengers and mail be transported over the mountains on mules, it became known as the "Jackass Mail."
Passengers could get a good meal (usually only one in a 24 hour period)
and if they wanted to stay and sleep til the next stage came, they had to have their own blankets and sleep on the dirt floor.
Well, it is a pretty old building.
Agua Caliente County Park
We picked this campground in the San Diego County Park
because of the hot spring pools.
This one really is "in the middle of nowhere"!
NO Wi-Fi or even Cell service
Oh yes, the warnings!
Some of the foliage is turning already.
We are hoping to see lots of 'super blooms' as we head to Death Valley.
Linda-I just love following you on your trip! I see you still like the hot springs! Ramona
