Travel the USA

After the country re-opened after Covid-19, we are
"On the Road Again."
Please enjoy the 'armchair travels' and feel free to make comments.

In September of 2019, we made the
'epic' trip to the east coast for the first birthday of our grandson Evan.
Since Evan's birthday is in September, we decided to join a 29 day RV Caravan for the New England fall color. The tour starts in Maine and ends in Niagara Falls. All told, we did about 12,000 miles with the new truck and trailer.

Week 3 - end of work week, more weekend fun!

Lou and Wendell working on the 'transition house'.
Dave (on the right) is the facilities manager (our boss).
This is where the ladies are working toward leaving the program, self sufficient, and able to return to society with job, self management skills, and sobriety.
Chores include fixing the French Doors, adding trim,

and blinds.

Deb likes the trim painting
(Sometimes getting up is harder than getting down)

Running the roller is for me
but sometimes the area to paint is pretty small
(bumping butts is interesting with painting!)

The boys had another bathroom to paint, but Deb and I just supervised.

Celebration Dinner!

We finished the week off with an "experience" dinner
at The Angry Crab.
They put the chosen fish and other dinner items (potatoes and corn) in a bag, boil the whole thing, then bring out the bag, bibs, gloves and an abundance of paper towels.

This is a "Work for your Dinner"

The aftermath-
just try not to get it on your clothes!

This was our second SOWERS project, a fun and productive experience.

See the next blog post for the weekend enjoyment.
