Travel the USA

After the country re-opened after Covid-19, we are
"On the Road Again."
Please enjoy the 'armchair travels' and feel free to make comments.

In September of 2019, we made the
'epic' trip to the east coast for the first birthday of our grandson Evan.
Since Evan's birthday is in September, we decided to join a 29 day RV Caravan for the New England fall color. The tour starts in Maine and ends in Niagara Falls. All told, we did about 12,000 miles with the new truck and trailer.

Aug 31, Sept 1 Marquette, MI

Marquette and the Blues Fest .
Music is good-enjoying a couple of days on the shores of Lake Superior with great sights and sounds.

 People watching is good fun!

The guy in tiger tights never quit dancing - 2 days!!

Lou is learning to play "bones" at the workshop in the intermission!

This is the owner (on the left) of the Gitche Gumee campground we had for 2 nights.
The name is probably indicative of how 'funky' it is.
He is the great grandson of Hugh Glass - that was mauled by a bear, left for dead.  Hugh survived and his great grandson has build this funky campground with all sorts of oddities, including carvings in marble and stone.
I have no idea what Houdini has to do with this person or campground!
Carving out of a ton of marble
Many 'disjointed' items of interest

and, of course, we are anxious to use the campsite grill!
